A Farewell to the Whole Semester

 Hi again! As the title suggests, we have reached to the end of the semester and I will be review and explain my thoughts that I have for the lecture of Instructional Technologies and Material Design in English Language. 

Apparently, we choose the lectures before we take them and we judge the lectures only based on their names and what they evoke in us. When I saw the name of this lecture, I assumed I would be dealing a lot with technology, but I also knew that I already took the lecture of Information Technologies, in which we learned common tools such as "word, excel, powerpoint" etc. So I thought about how this lecture would differ from Information Technologies, but it definitely did. We have used many diverse tools that I did not ever know and I enjoyed each of them. We produced firstly a blog, that we were free in our style to choose and publish our writings and thoughts. Then, the infographic we created was beneficial for me a lot because I was in the "MÜÇEV" club (Marmara Üniversitesi Çeviri Kulübü), and I was sometimes assigned to make infographic sort of sheets to let the people know about our organizations, but I created always simple and not-so-well sheets. If I knew about infographic earlier, it would be awesome, but I know from now on, which makes me elated a lot. Then, we created a podcast with a story. That was a lot of fun for me and my friend. And the most enjoyable part for me was the digital story. I literally enjoyed every minute of it from the creation of our story to the editing our video.

The thing is that I and my friend used our friend's surname in the podcast story about the murder and the clown. Of course, we had asked him beforehand if we were allowed to use his name. (We were careful about the copyright issues:) We used the same name for the digital story as well, though the two stories are completely irrelevant. I will surely not delete my blog page and let it live forever. I would like to skim over my page sometimes in the future and experience and laugh a lot again. 

All in all, this lecture let me learn a lot about technology and the beneficial tools that I can benefit in the future as a language teacher. Other than education, I would and will use the certain tools in daily life as well such as character chatbox. I can talk to famous characters through that when I am bored. Anyway, an awesome semester has passed and I cannot finish to thank our lecturer, Mr. Mustafa Polat, who taught us perfectly. Let's wait for the next semester but I have got a long and nice summer abroad ahead:)
