Net- Etiquette?

What is netiquette? 

.  Netiquette sound to me as a non-english word but it contains actually both English and French word as it is the combination of the words "net" (English) and "etiquette"(French). Oxford Dictionary, the one I always use, says for "etiquette"; "the customary code of polite behaviour in society or among members of a particular profession or group." The word net is obviously the social, internet platforms and applications that we use daily. So what does netiquette mean? It is actually the good behaviour/-s that we are advised to apply on the social media, apps and anywhere on which we can find internet.

Why is it important?

In daily life, we come across our friends, colleagues and many people outside that we don't know and we communicate. While doing that, we show respect, privacy and we try to treat them as good as possible. The reason for me doing that I demand the same manner that I apply to the other people. If I say good morning to my neighbour, that's a good manner and I would like my neighbour to say good morning back to me, as well. The Internet is almost the same way it is. We mostly do not see the person/-s on the other side but we should behave and speak in a respectful and appropriate way so that they reply with the same manner back. A successful communication is only possible with doing that, and that is called netiquette. 

A few tips you may need??

So, we are all in the internet platforms for a bunch of years and I believe everybody has gained a fair amount of netiquette. Still, these a couple of tips may be beneficial for you. First, as I mentioned above many times, show respect so that you can get the same. Show some respect for their privacy and do not use a hurting language, do not hurt people's feelings. I am not even mentioning bullying them. Secondly, it is so basic but do not use capital letters too much as it is seen as if you are screaming. Never brag on not to thank for which something is done for you. Be grateful

To sum up, I tried to explain what the term "netiquette" means. It is the good manner on the internet platforms. Plus, I also talked about why it is important and gave a couple of tips you may use.
